Michelle Beth Herman is New York City based actress, singer and dancer. A Long Island native, and a Sephardic Jew, she received a BFA in Musical Theatre from The Hartt School in Connecticut.
Michelle made her National Tour debut in 2017 as a Swing and the Factory Girl cover in the Broadway musical phenomenon,
LES MISERABLES. In addition to going on hundreds of times for the eight roles she covered, after leaving the production in 2019, Michelle continued to be asked back to cover various tracks up until the tour was cancelled due to the pandemic in 2020.
Michelle signed her first Principal Equity Contract weeks after joining the Union in 2016. She was thrilled it was to play Nina Rosario in IN THE HEIGHTS at Theatre Under The Stars. Three years later she returned to the Barrio to portray Vanessa, this time at Michigan’s Mason Street Warehouse.
In New York, Michelle has performed at the New York Theatre Barn, 54 Below, Haswell Greens and Lincoln Center where she sang the songs of contemporary artists Carner & Gregor at Broadway's Future Songbook.
When she’s not on stage, you can find Michelle writing her own music and lyrics, orchestrating Jewish music for B’nai Mitzvah and coaching young actors throughout the country helping them achieve their goals. She loves rowing and running to the finish line at Orange Theory Fitness and is a world traveler. At the end of the day, she loves a chai tea and snuggling with Chloe her adorable puppy who makes every makes everyday a joy.
